Xicaru Añejo Mezcal

Aging Elegance | Espadín Agave | Oak-Rich & Smoothly Smoky

Available now at Liquor Boutique

Xicaru Añejo Mezcal begins with 100% Espadín agave, roasted in traditional wood-fired underground ovens in Oaxaca. After fermentation and double distillation in copper stills, the mezcal is aged for 18–24 months in lightly charred oak barrels. The result is a rich, amber-hued spirit that harmonizes deep mezcal smokiness with luxurious aged complexity.

Tasting Notes:

  • Color: Deep amber, showcasing extended barrel influence

  • Nose: Warm oak, baking spice, honeyed agave, toasted almonds, and mellow smoke

  • Palate: Velvety and layered—oak-driven caramel, dark chocolate, dried fig, sweet agave, and soft campfire ash

  • Finish: Long and luxurious with lingering smoke, subtle wood tannins, and mellow warmth

Why Buy Xicaru Añejo:

  • Extended Añejo aging (18–24 months) delivers depth and sophistication

  • Seamless interplay of mezcal smoke and rich barrel-aged character

  • Exceptionally smooth and complex—ideal for contemplative sipping

  • Elegant packaging highlights its premium, slow-aged craftsmanship

How to Enjoy:
Serve Xicaru Añejo neat or over a single large ice cube to savor its nuanced layers. It's also excellent in minimalist stirred cocktails like an Añejo Mezcal Old Fashioned or a Havana-style Mezcal Manhattan.
