Jack Daniel's Rested Rye Batch 002 Tennessee Straight Rye Whiskey

Small Batch Release | Tennessee Rye | Pre-Full Release Expression

Available now at Liquor Boutique

Jack Daniel's Rested Rye Batch 002 is a unique and limited small batch release that showcases the distillery’s rye whiskey in its early aging stages—bottled after being “rested” in new American oak barrels, but before reaching the full maturity of their standard rye expressions. Crafted from a high-rye mash bill of 70% rye, 18% corn, and 12% malted barley, this bottle offers an authentic look at the evolution of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Rye.

Released in very limited quantities, Batch 002 is the follow-up to the original Unaged Rye and was meant to provide insight into the whiskey’s development for enthusiasts and collectors.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: Light spice, toasted grain, and green apple with subtle oak and honey.
Palate: Bright and youthful with notes of peppery rye, vanilla, caramel, and light char.
Finish: Clean, spicy, and dry with hints of citrus, mint, and wood.

Have Any Questions?

Is this a fully matured rye?
No — Rested Rye was intentionally bottled at a younger age to showcase the whiskey before it reached full maturity.

How does this differ from Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Rye?
This is a much earlier expression in the aging process, offering a rawer, grain-forward character compared to the richer and more polished Single Barrel Rye.

Is Batch 002 still in production?
No — it was released as a limited experiment and has since been discontinued. It is now considered a collectible bottle.

Can I gift this bottle?
Yes — especially to whiskey collectors or fans of rare Jack Daniel’s releases. Its limited production and backstory make it a great gift for enthusiasts.
